Brief Introduction: Lynn Akin
Lynn served 38 years in the world of education as a Teacher, Counselor, Assistant Principal, Principal and Assistant Superintendent. Previous to that he was a Missionary, Minister, and a Municipal Court Judge. Lynn holds a Master of Arts degree in Psychological Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University. He is licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Counseling Philosophy
Lynn’s philosophy of treatment focuses on helping each individual to recognize his/her own potential for change and growth. He employs a variety of tested psychological approaches assisting clients in using their own faith system, history, and personality to move through the change and growth process.
He strongly believes that hope can be born out of therapeutic conversations, giving clients a guide to forming a path toward a better life.

Note: There is no cost for the first meeting. This will give the possible client and Lynn an opportunity to see if both are comfortable and confident proceeding with the therapeutic process. At this time cost for therapy will be discussed. All information acquired from the client is kept in the confidential setting of this practice. Informed Consent information will be provided at the beginning of services.
